Ujirani means neighbourliness. Doors face each other across a shared courtyard, roofs lean close, and the ground between the houses belongs to everyone. Children cross it without asking permission. This is the geometry of a life lived in common, where a household is never only its own walls, and the path between homes carries as much life as the rooms behind them.
